95 into a 2000 powerstroke swap
 

i have a 2000 power stroke with 311xxx miles on it and the injectors are starting to go out. i have looked into injectors but i do not want to drop a couple thousand dollars on injectors with the motor with "high miles" as some would call it that i used to pull with constantly. i have located a 95 truck with 100,000 on the reman engine and i know it runs great for 1200 dollars.

So now that my story is done here are my questions:
will the 95 fit in my 2000?
with getting a custom chip is it worth keeping the single shot injectors?
how is the Hpop going to differ? i understand there is a year split for the pump timing
if the Hpop dose not work will i or can i swap over some parts to to run my Hpop?
will the turbo pedistal, up pipes, and all those goodies have to be swapped?
and anything else i should know before i jump ship and do this?

any advice would be great i want to have a idea amount of work it is going to be before i try and do it.:c:

Few things...

Your motor swap is straightforward remove one, install the other. You will have to swap the accessory brackets (AC, alt, PS pump and such), Fuel system, turbo, Up pipes and manifolds. You will need to plug the mechanical fuel pump hole in the valley as well.

Biggest issue I think your missing is a 95 motor has AA or AO injectors which supply 90cc of fuel per 1000 shot... Your 2002 has AD injectors which supply 140cc per 1000. You will be going from a 230hp truck to a 200hp just like that.

Your 95 motor will also have a 15* high pressure oil pump vs your 2002 and its 17* pump.

If it were me, I would check the compression on your 2002 motor and if good pick up a set of AC injectors and be done.

If the compression is not good, well then we can go from there.
