Sound System
I'm not sure where to post this but I have a few questions. Okay so, right now I have upgraded the door and rear speakers to Pioneer 3 Way speakers with tweeters but still have the stock head unit. To play music at this moment from my I iPod I have to use a Cassette Adapter, but music only comes throughout the driver's side door loud and clear, at least 10x louder than the driver rear and 20x louder the passenger speakers. Is there any way to fix this? And how do I install subs in the truck or convince best buy to do this? I would like to do at least one 12 but would like to do two 10s. I will be upgrading the head unit as well when I find a way to do this. Can anyone please give some answers?
Thanks, Parker. |
:hi: it might be because of the head unit you can mess around with the head unit because i know you can adjust the front and rear and side to side mess around with the head unit you'll figure it out. id highly recommend going to a place called freemans audio nice guys great prices and they do install don't go with best buy! they will over charge you and do a terrible job id recommend shallow mount 10s under the back seat.

I have one 12 behind my seat(regular cab) and love it! Pops my back at times. Go to crutchfield.com those guys have everything and can match sub and amp pairs and give you lots of free stuff!

stay away from bestbuy. i heard they are going down and if you need to use the warranty they might not be around. i just put a alpine something or other in my 99 and love it. and i rewired my spekers for when i put nice ones in. you don't need to do that tho.

Id bet your balance issue is from the tape addapter. Those things are crap and always seem to fray a wire and only run one side.
For subs Im currently running 2 Kicker CVX 10's behind the seat and Im building my new box for my 2 Kicker L5 10's. If youre real crafty you can get enough air space to run them. For a head unit, hands down run an alpine since they have 3 sets or outputs then you can run sub, mid, and high amps and really push your system. Ive upgraded and am now to my third one and absolutely love it! |
oe thing i don't like abot my alpine- it has more dam settings that i have no idea what they do!
