Weird electrical issue. No start, no WTS

My 01 250 has *almost* no electrical after trying to start it yesterday.

I got in the truck, turned the key, and before the engine could crank everything went dark. Now I have no WTS (but the ABS light is dimly lit), no tach, and no crank. A scan tool will get 12v power from the OBDII jack until the point where I turn the key to the "on" then it loses power.
There's 12v in the always on cigarette lighter on the dash

But here's the really weird part; when I open the door the dome and door lights blink like a turn signal. I checked and relay #1 in the fuse panel is the one clicking.

I checked fuse #30 and it was intact. Just in case I unhooked the fuel bowl heater anyways.

I check the PCM connection and it seems OK. I opened the connection and checked for any damage inside the weather proof fitting and didn't see anything.

I didn't have a chance to look at the IDM yet.

This almost seems like an ingnition problem except for the weirdness with the domelight/relay#1

What does relay#1 control?
Also, is there a good wiring diagram I could look at?

TIA

sounds like a bad starter wire assembly that or a bad batterys , or a bad starter.

Sounds like a dead battery... or two...

I feel like a bonehead. The connections to the terminals were gunky. It was acting so weird I just skipped over basic troubleshooting :ouch:

always start with simple stuff, you'd be surprised how many peoples trucks I've seen wont start....because their oil is low in the crankcase... doh...
