oil pan nightmare

:argh:i have a 99 7.3 bone stock. had problem with the oil pan dipstick holder leaking.it was leaking from around the nut that holds it in. And of course the inside peice fell in the oil pan. tried to hold it with a homade hook type thing. but..... now can anybody suggest a repair without pulling the motor. Any problem with leaving the piece in the pan.

strictly sells a new piece to replace the factory assembly. there instructions are to leave that piece in the bottom of the pan.
