not plugged in

I did not plug in my truck last night when I fired up this morning Diesel came from the fuel filter area. Then on my way in the cruise control decided to release it's self. Then the turbo would wind up for a second then it would quite. What the he'll? The truck is a 1999 f350.

damn never herd of that happening before what was the temp lastnight if its jelled dieselfuel try diesel 911 it will help ungell the diesel. that or u have water in the fuel bowl did you ever drain the water out of fuel filter? that may be it

well if the fuel jelled it probably wouldn't run. water in the bowl would freeze and probably wouldn't run. i don't see how not plugging it in would cause this.

The turbo thing was probably the ebpv and normal. You need to find the fuel leak. Check the fuse for the cruise control. Hope any of that helps.

Welcome to diesel bombers by the way!!

Like James said, the Exhaust Back Pressure Valve was kicking in, completely normal in cold conditions until the oil temp gets up.

You saw RAW Liquid fuel in the valley or you "smelled" fuel coming from the valley?

most common problem is when water is in the fuel bowel and it does not get drained it freezes and cracks the valve.

CSIPSD 12-27-2011 09:28 PM

I have never in all my years seen that...

I have seen the valve leak due to bad seals, but not "cracked" because of water...

fordornothing 12-28-2011 06:43 PM

the bowl would have to be pretty much full of water for it to crack.
