Glow Plug Relay Light
 

I just installed the glow plug relay light. It’s a cool little mod and thanks to the members of this site i managed to do it with ease thanks guys. I would recommend doing this it’s cool and functional. I was also thinking of doing it for the intake air heater relay. Has anyone done this yet?:tu:

I wouldn't waste your time with the AIH...

If your spending any time with the AIH I would just take it out.

you can put it on... but you'll never see it turn on.

Delete it... 100% worthless.

I have read that the AIH will warm the air coming into the turbo to assist on cold starts. What does this do? Is that correct?:humm:

The AIH doesn't have anything to do with cold starts... It was meant to reduce white smoke during long idling in super cold conditions...

* Ambient temperature must be below 32°F
* Engine oil temperature (EOT) must be below 131°F
* Vehicle power must remain between 11.5 and 15.0 volts
* Parking brake must be applied
* The transmission must be in Park or Neutral
* Glow plugs must be off

These conditions must be met in order for the AIH to even activate... So tell me when you will see all of these that it's worth watching an LED to know it's working...

Throw an LED on but it's not worth it.

Well i hate the nasty white smoke on cold starts, and idle. I guess it’s just personal preference if you want to take the AIH out or leave it.
