Hard Starting Threads

A lot of hard starting threads have popped up, probably due to the declining temps. Just wanted to post that my starter finally quit over the weekend and I dropped in new one and wow. I can't believe how fast the motor turns over now and how quick she catches. I guess I never realized how slow my motor was turning with the slow degradation of the starter. Which I imagine any minor issues I had here and there related to starting were further exaggerated by the low rpms that my motor was turning.

If glow plugs, relay, fuel, and other issues are eliminated from your long cranking or poor starting issues make sure to check your batteries and starter...

I thought mine went out yesterday. Pulled the starter to replace it and found the + cable broken. Made a quick fix and the starter still is fine, and at 2 1/2 years still fires it up quick. New cables ordered and should be here in a few days,
