Best way to lift the rear of my truck??

I have a 2000 Crew cab, long bed, F250 SD. I need to get my rear up about 3-5". It rides kinda low when I have my camper hooked up. Some one told me there is a air bag thingy, but I wanted to find the best option. I know you guys will know what I need to do. Please also let me know if there is a preferred name brand of any solutions. Thanks in advance

Air Lift is doing a $100 back rebate if you buy a bag kit and a compressor.

Do you need to lift the truck full time or just while hauling to keep it level?

We used their outboard bags several times, but now they have a inboard kit that we just threw on a 02 SD that works nice, and at 60 lbs it keeps the back level with a excavator loaded toward the tongue where it used to dip a few inches and then a few more when you were on the binders. Unloaded you could probably push it up 3-4 inches easy by airing up the bags to 50 lbs.

Won't lie, best way to gain 3-5 fulltime and keep a nice ride is to put on arched springs that boost it there. To just buy heavier springs, yes that will put it higher, but it will ride rougher. Been there, Done that. Traded 5 leaves for HD 10 leaves, gained 4 inches, lost all my fillings and helped tweak the frame on a f250. Talk to a spring shop, many can re-arch your springs for not much, then back it up with bags so the leaves keep the arch as long as possible.

We make diving weights and haul lead, both scrap and finished weights in our 92 dodge dually. it has air bags on the rear and they are great. When there is no load they can be deflated and when it is loaded just air them up and it keeps things level. I sometimes have 4000 pounds in the bed and the air bags take the load nicely.

I'd go bags over springs any day, bags are adjustable. :c:

I would do bags for towing but if your just looking for a lift then throw some blocks in it.
