coolant leak
 

i have what apears to be a coolent leak (greenish fluwed and smells like dauted atifreez) on the pasenger side. up agenst the fire wall. i dont know what it is but when i reach up and follow the leak from the underside it feals like its comeing from ware a hose should be. what is on the back side that would need coolent?

It could be the heater core.

does your heater work?

it was goin out. i think. it didnt put out to much heat. i havent tride to start the truck sence i notecd the leak.

it could be leaking from the heater core. that is the only thing i can think of. especially if the heater in the truck is not working.

ok ill get a new heater core and swap it out, any thing you can think of that id need?

well you will need some good clams to clamp the coolant lines if your not planing on draining all the coolant. and alot of paper towels. might be a good idea to get some engine cleaner and clean where it was leaking. it can be a pain to work around all that nasty grease and gook.
