Anybody recognize this underdash wiring?

I was looking over my new purchase today and found some wires under the hood that were cut and went to nothing... I followed them back to this switch. The two green wires go from this switch to a relay under hood. Then from there one green wire is grounded and the other one goes through a fuse to nowhere. It was cut and the end was under the drivers side battery. The blue wire seen in this photo is spliced into the wires coming from a connector on the accelerator pedal. Then it follows the two green wires out to the relay underhood. I didn't get any power to any of these three wires except with the key on. With the key on my voltmeter showed .05 volts with the switch on or off.

So does anybody recognize it? I can't think of what it might be for and why it is tapped into the wires from the accelerator pedal...

could have been from a old alarm system or if the one wire went to the accelerator pedal. maybe it was so you couldn't drive any where... my moms mustang has something similar but i don't know what it is. or it might have something to do with the day time runing lights. but not likely...

If I had to guess it was an old school exhaust brake. The only time the brake would turn on is when you were off the pedal.

Ding Ding Ding... I traced it some more today and there are two wires running straight to the EBPV...

Its easy to do... I had a nice one on my 97 OBS and a really slick one from SP Diesel on this truck when I first got it.

If you have an auto you need to have the TC locked to really have a good brake.

Not an issue with a 6speed.

well mine is the 6 speed. when i did the brake on mine, i follwed the writeup on swamps website. i just don't have it so it comes on when you hit the brakes. so with hooking it up to what looks like the red wire in the picture. when you let off the accelerator does it put power to this wire?

that is a slick setup from SP Diesel. they got all sorts of cool stuff
