What is the name of this part????
Can anyone tell me the name of the pipe that comes off the back of the engine near the fire wall that is hard to get to. I think it's called the "y" pipe but I can't seem to find that on any parts web sites. I had a shop tell me that it was starting to leak and I would start to lose boots. Anyone got anything on this??? Feed back would be outstanding.
Thanks.. |
if its feeding from the back of the engine to the turbo its the up pipes (shop that did mine called them exhaust flanges)
i think on mine the price to repair with parts was around 700ish |
That sounds like it. Wow $700 man thats crazy. Is this not something to try doing it myself??? Thanks riddick01

well it's really not horrible to do. you can get brass donuts. or get bellowed up pipes. those are pretty pricey tho.
|
You can handle it, as many times as you have messed with the turbo it will be like old hats.
|
It's only cause I learned from the best Joe. How much should I pay for a good set of pipes. Doesn't look like alot of sites carry those parts. Any ideas on that???? Your still the man Joe :tu:
