ccv mod help

well i did the ccv mod friday afternoon (DIY version following the instructions on guzzle's website) and now ive got an oil leak. ive checked the hose it has no kinks hard bends or low spots. on start up i can see and smell it venting. like i said i cant find any restrictions so i was wondering what else to look at as a fix for this. or should i just go back to venting the gasses back into the intake until i have a weekend to mess with it

thanks for any help

Jeremy

where is the oil leak? when i did this on mine i jusr ran the hose straight back and but a piese of PVC to replace the factory intake tube.

i havent tracked it down yet but the drip is coming off the bottom of the oil pan and i can see it coming from the driver side of the oil pan (up above where i couldnt see).

also i replaced my gaskets on the "dog house" when i did it.

as for dumping mine i ran it back to the skid plate for the fuel tank and zip tied it off to the side out of the way (so far i dont mind the smell)

those o rings on the dog house, it might not be inlign where the need to be. or the tube coming off the dog house could be leaking. did you put a hose clamp on it?

i ran a short piece of hose from the dog house out to a 90 pushing the hose over towards the master cylinder then down to the frame with worm clamps on all of it and a TON of zip ties to keep it from moving/sagging

ok. i just did mine straight back and zipped tied the hell out of it. i'd just look at everything and seei f you can see the leak. my bet is the dog house.

its to dark now but ill get up and check it tomorrow. thanks for the help. i didnt even consider checking the dog house since the gaskets are new

that's my best guess. I think there is a little bit on the bottom of the doghouse that actually goes into the VC. and the o ring can partially go into the VC, instead of sitting on top.

Check the dog house. When I did my CCV the do house leaked like crazy. Couldnt get it to stop leaking no matter what I did. Even but a second set of new orings on it.

About 2 weeks ago I returned the CCV to stock and no more leaking... :humm:

:humm: mine doesn't leak at all. i don't see how in would be directional.
