Factory 20's on a 2000

You can. The tires will hit the leaf springs before hitting full lock when turning. They will also look a little weird being sucked in the fenders a little as the newer wheels have quite a bit more backspacing.

Did the WMS-WMS distance change on the newer trucks?

Yep. I have some factory 20's on my 2000 2wd. It will have to get spacers at some point because it does look a little funny when viewed directly from the front or back. A person wouldn't think that 1.5" narrower on each side would make that much difference, but it does.
