00 7.3 Cold Start
Need help. I'm clueless on Ford. My shops landlord has a 2000 7.3 I get to work on YEAH...
anyway, it won't start cold. Is it glow plugs or a relay that is most common? |
I'd check the glow plug realy -- then the plugs -- seems those issues are the two most common.
Check the HPOP level also - make sure its full How cold is it getting there in GA? shouldn't be cold enough to really cause any oiling problems -- so I'd be it is the glow plugs or teh relay |
it'll be 18 tonight.
This truck won't start below 30. Warm days it's fine |
Yah, its been cold like that here the last few nights -- can you plug it in or does it even help?
I would say check the GPR and see if the glow plugs are lighting up |
check glow plug relay first, then the valve cover harness to make sure its not burn up.. then lastly check glow plugs..couple bad glow plug will make it real hard to start when cold
