tranny noise... ohh no!

Ok so the problem... when the truck is on and I'm in neutral and don't have the clutch engaged it makes a grinding noise in neautrl. But when I push the clutch in and engage it, the noise stops. Also when I go to start it I have to start it in gear. I can't just leave it in neatral and start it without the clutch being engaged. So what do u guys think the deal is? And also I can't go from 1 gear to reverse. But I can go from reverse to 1st.. idk I'm so confused on what it might be. The clutch is not stock its southbend dual disk. Would it be a throw out bearing our neutral safety switch or what?

Sounds like the TO bearing,or maybe pressure plate. I have one of the fingers on PP get bent, and eat the TO bearing.:td::ouch:
