Got a question

i want to put a leveling kit on my truck but it has a plow on it. would that afect how the plow hooks up. it is a f250 and the plow is a boss v blad:humm:

i dont think it would affect how it hooks up, just the height of the plow and the angle but i may be wrong,,, how does the plow hook up??

The leveling kit will raise the plow undercarriage (since the truck frame is raised) so you'll need to unbolt the push beam (don't remove it) and just move it down so the pivot points are 13 1/2" off the ground (That's a Boss standard for RT2 and RT3). Pretty easy.

If you leave it high a few things could happen, first if its a v the outer edges may not set down, or they will be light and tend to ride up in the snow, second the angle of the push beam to the center pivot will be wrong and can lead to breaking of the pivot, it also will work the spring harder. Its soooo easy to set the pivot height of a boss its just silly not to fix it right. Now a Fisher MMII-V on a superduty (perish the thought, Either your pushing a Boss, or your pushing a POS), I'd just scrap the plow rather than mess with that crappy system. I've put over 50 Boss's on and never had issues, NEVER. MMII's I helped put on seem to come back every year for sheared bolts and solenoids. Just a really shitty design, they should of just stayed making awesome straight plows with nice trip edges and undercarriages that are obvious year round and just left the V-plow to those who have it perfected.
