ts-chip 6 pos

is the stock setting worth it i have no emissions, can't i just unplug it if i want stock?
and is there much of a difference between 65 and 80 dd?
and if any of u have lope or smoke show what do y'all think of those two?
oh one more is there much of a difference between the 100, 120? and 120, 140? like a huge difference? im going to be getting one soon and want to decide the exact tunes i want.
i tow very little its my dd and fun 7.3 liter rice eater. haha had to.

You are correct, stock tune is the same as taking the chip out, only difference is one takes less than 1 second and the other takes 3 minutes.

If you live in a place where it is cold during the winter, a high idle position is great.

Otherwise, I only use my street and extreme. There are subtle differences between the two like reaction off the line and smoke.

You probably won't see much difference between a 65 and 80 daily tune. I personally think smoke show and lope are a waste of time, but if that is what you are into, go for it.

ok thank u sir!!! ya ill probably just leave the lope and smoke out and do others that help like high idle it gets cold here

joebob3093 05-05-2011 01:57 PM

right now i have 1. stock 2. high idle 3. econo 4. tow 5. daily 6. extreme

95-SimpsonOBS 05-05-2011 02:43 PM

i have an extreme and smoke setting, they both blow the same exact amount of smoke, the extreme just gives me the power to back it up. can the smoke tune and save the pos. for another tune you can use. and powersmoker is right, if you live in a cold area, High Idle will be a great position to have

Or if you have a manual PSD, after finally getting mine to clear the clutch level I decided it was best to cut up the black plastic holder so I could remove the chip without pulling the ecu.

KT burns for PHP IIRC. PHP is good stuff.

ZombieSoldier 05-06-2011 09:30 AM

ok so its all kosher with KT Performance? His chips are intriguing due to cost.... so i wanted to make sure i wasnt gonna get bad burns from this vendor.. has their been any issues with his on automatic trucks? s far as early trans failures?

I can't imagine he has any issues anymore than any other tuner will...

Any time you add a chip to a truck with a stock transmission, you run that risk. Drive it like you stole it and the risk increases. Drive it respectably and the risk is less.
