Opinion on new transmission
 

My tranny is very slugish and is slipping in third gear. I dont want to spend $4000 on a suncoast with a 2 year warranty. Is there any other trannys that are dependable?

RacerX or John Woods would be my next choice. Keep in mind, Dependable and cheap are not exactly terms that should be used in the same sentence when talking about transmissions. You need to look for a reputable transmission with a great warranty. The price tag will reflect that.

BTS... Without a doubt BTS builds the best, and last tranny you will ever put in your truck.

I thought we were talking about cheaper options.. Lol...

Its only cheap the first time... Do I need to mention how much I have wrapped up in trannys in THIS truck alone... Do it right the first time. BTS and done.

Go with a BTS or a John Wood. I have and am very happy.

Well, since i do have some experience with BTS i will chime in. Like Joe said, BTS and BE DONE!!! Pay the bigger expense the first time and dont look back. DO NOT go the "cheaper" route with transmissions, you will end paying more in the long run, GUARANTEED!!!!! John Wood is another great option, heard nothing but great things about his transmissions too. But like i said above, my experience is with BTS. Listen to Joe!!! He has plenty of experience with transmission problems over the years!
