2002 F250 7.3L - Only 115K (not yet broke in)
Retired Friend - 2003 F350 7.3L - 937K (as of June 2001) He shuttles campers for dealerships. I should look him up, probably over a million by now. |

i wonder what his service record looked like and what all he has had to replace.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- i would defiantly say a transmission or two with that kind of mileage and now I’m wondering what’s the record for mileage? |
He told me that he has not had any transmission work done, except for a few flushes.
As far as work done to it, he says that it has all been regular maintenance (tires / shocks / brake pads / brake rotors / etc). No mods - at least no performance mods. His track record was the main reason for me hunting down my '02 F250, which was no easy task. Those who have them, keep them. A mechanic friend of mine (my main source of info) swears by the 7.3L. He says it is a 500K mile engine, easy. |
just take care of it and they will run for ever.
|
my mechanic says the same 7.3 are awesome. I would never trade for any other. not to mention it has never left me stranded reliability is my reason why I love my truck.:c:
|
exactly! never left me stranded.

84,500 - early 1999 F-250 SD XLT - Bone stock.
Door lock actuators weak and the stock radio display quit. Otherwise, it looks and runs like a much newer truck. |
the lock actuators is a easy fix. look it up on youtube. superduty door lock fix mod.
