Surging at all speeds & temps

My 2002 F250 7.3 surges at all speeds & Temps. For example, when I get on the road & try to hold a steady speed it speeds up & down. Not big jumps in RPM but enough to make it awkward to drive. When I put the cruise on it smoothes right out? Is there a throttle positioning sensor or something like that, thats acting up? If there is, where is it?

Thanks for any & all help

Best bet would be to scan it while driving, I have heard of the accel peddle causing issues like this, but I have never worked on one myself.

I am having kind of the same issue. my speed doesnt surge it is just the RPM's that jump a few hundred then goes right back to normal. CSI what is the best way to scan it while driving, AE?

My speed jumps up. So when I'm running around town, it's like I'm doing rabbit starts.

My brothers expedition was doing that and replacing the pedal assembly fixed the problem
