are you taling for an undercarriage exhaust? if so is it coming out or in front of the axle? or do you have stacks?

my friend has a 2011 f350 with an 8 inch tip underneath behind the tire. it looks badass if i dont go with stacks im doing it like that.

Not stacks sorry but I'm not stupid if u wanted to see stacks would've said that tips as in the things that go on the end of an exhaust

And i don't care If it's in front or behind the rear wheel I want to just see how the 7 and 8 inchers look on trucks cuz I kinda want a big one but want to make sure it looks good

Bigred7.3 do u think u could get a pic I just want to see the pic of them on a SD 99 or newer

fordornothing 03-02-2011 09:37 AM

the only reason i asked if it was in front or behind the axle is because if you have say an 8" tip behind the axle and only a 4" exhaust. it looks a little weird. it does look BA from the side. but if it's in front of the axle you can kinda hide the rest of the pipe so all you see is the tip...

95powersmoker 03-02-2011 10:06 AM

I say go 6 or 7 behind the tire...

6" tips... Years old pictures, but the same tips are there.

OceanDiesel 03-06-2011 07:41 PM

I have 4" duals with 5" tips, I've considered 6" tips a few times. 5" or 6" tips IMO look best.

i would go so far as to say you cant go oveer 2 inches bigger and look good (except for stacks in some cases) i live in a college town where theres a bunch of idiot kids in high school that try to run around with 10" tips on factory exhaust and i look at those things and say what the hell where u thinking...IMO anything over 7" or so is left to big rigs. a 10" tip isnt proportional to your truck. before i did my stacks i ran a 5" and a 6" tip and i wouldnt go over 6"...again thats just my 2 cents
