Diesel Power Mag 10 best diesels of all time
|
i said it when i first read that article, and ill say it again. that is the biggest joke of an article ive ever read. its the 10 best diesels of all time, not which one sounds the best, or which manufacture they support the most.
they have the 7.3l powerstoke ranked one position ahead of the dmax??????? realy. but to top that, they have the b-series cummins at number 10 :argh: who ever made that list is a complete retard. the actual b series is only 12valves. when they swapped to the 24v vp44 motors, it actualy got the tag of isb. |
to each his own, but you have to look at the reasoning behind the 7.3s position, it brought electronically controlled diesels to the frontlines and whether you like it or not revolutionized the game. as for the cummins b series I thought it shoulda been ahead of the Dmax too which I guess you could argue bcuz dmax brought CR injection to the table. I love the 5.9 cummins motors, worked on them, been around them and hope to own one someday but I think the 7.3 gets no love whatsoever and deserved to be recognized so i posted this, not trying to bash anyone.
|
im not bashing any make either. it didnt bring electronics into the diesel world, just the first in a light duty aplication. even with electronics, it still wasnt as strong, or as durable as the cummins.

1. hands down... 2. by far one of the best engines in highway rigs... 3. not a V-dub fan... 4. MTU's are great, it's also one of the favorite powerplants used by Navy SBT's(along with #7)... 5. our well loved 7.3... 6. it's a strong one, for an Isuzu... 7. I like Cat's :tu:... 8. I've seen one similar to this bad boy, extremely impressive!... 9. I like everthing from International :rocking:... 10. The BT's are strong lil puppies, they'll take a beating a keep goin. And that's my $0.02 worth

No way power joke is ranked higher then cummins or dmax

You may want to re-read the article. Read the RED again.
"As we all know, many powerplants are application specific. We could do the 10 best tugboat engines, 10 best stationary generators, 10 best car engines, and on and on. You get the picture. So, sit back, relax, and soak in 10 of the baddest diesels on planet Earth, in no particular order." |
