boost relief valve
do i need to get a boost relief valve when running a ts performance 6 pos chip:humm:

No...Your turbo has a waste gate.
|
You will need some kind of a MAP blow off or regulator, to keep your map sensor from seeing above 22psi. At that point the truck will defuel.

Gotcha. Does my truck defuel after 22psi too?
|
Nope... Superduty thing only.
|
i'm not sure what the older 7.3's defuel at but i hit 29 psi racing my buddy and it still had more to go. does any one know what the super duties can take? in terms of how much boost they can take before you break stuff?

Turbo is good for 25-30psi before its worth nothing more then hot air. |
so can you set that to a max of 30 psi? and will you need to buy anything else for it? i was about to ask the same question
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- and who makes the best ive seen ats this one and kt performance has one for sale too whats the best? |
Beans makes one as well, very similar to Stricly Diesel's. As for who has the best, I'm not sure.
|
so 25 - 30 psi is about the max before the turbo goes? my buddy hits about 35 on his 99 when he lays in it. and it's a stock turbo but he has a chip, intake, exhaust, and injectors
