well you could start out by changing all fluids and filters

Ok I thought about that. Now is the question what products do I use? I have a very short daily commute 1-10 miles every day. I have had a couple suggestions of AMS fluids all the way around? Your thoughts.:humm:

I run Rotella in my engine with a K&N oil filter, but am looking at switching to Delo400 and a FleetGuard, mainly due to price, availability, and those on here who use them seem to have good luck with them also. I wouldn't run synthetic anywhere that's changed on a somewhat regular basis (engine mainly). It may work great, but that's alot of $ to drain every 3,4,5,6, 7,000 miles or so. I sat through a presentation from Chevron Oils, and they said no matter what brand oil you are using, this same rule is a good one(synth. is ok in anything but the engine basically). My differentials are the only thing with synth. in it.

Welcome to the site!!!

Take a look at the top of this area. There are lots of good tech things in there, and lots of good reading. I have more, I just have to get them loaded up.

Change the oil every 3-5k, Fuel filter every 8-10k...

Diff's about every 15-20k, Tranny every 30k, T-case every 30...

everything said above is spot on. to make it even more clear how important this is i got my 7.3 a few months ago and was getting 13 to 14mpg at max (lifted and all so i knew it was gunna be bad) changed the fuel filter and it jumped to 15ish.
