How to run superchip programmor ??????
I got a super ship programmor giving to me and also have a 2000 ford diesel. Do you have to have a chip for the truck or can the programmor tune the stock cpu??? Also can this programmor tune banks chips???? What info am I not comprehending about this tuner ?

Plug it in to the OBD port below the steering wheel. It will power up and follow the directions. If you have a chip on the PCM it will not work. You can not stack a programer and a chip.

on this subject ive got 37" tires on my truck and am wondering if i can stack my superchip with my ts and just use the superchip to be able to tune for the larger tires without adding any power (the superchip cant just do tire size it also has to tune the truck)

Ok soo this programmor only tunes the STOCK cpu. Now do i have to punch in the vin number or anything and how much horsepower can this programmor give with a stock comuter?
|
on a superchip if u plug it in there it will walk u through it step by step. it downloads and saves ur stock file then u pick the tune u want to load (100 or so hp is the highest) then u load it and its done.

ok thank you I understand it now, can you tune your auto trannmission shifts too? because once mine hits third it shifts immediatly too 4th and does hold the gear in long enough ? could this solve that issue?
|
i didnt feel a change in shifts when i put it on mine but i didnt really pay attention to it when i did it so i cant say for sure
|
sorry i meant too say that my truck now (stock) when tranny goes into third it immediatly shifts to forth can I do anything about that with the tuner ?

I doubt that. More then likely you are feeling the TC lock up... |

Auto Enginuity would be your best bet. Then you can ajust anyones. |
i dont think the tuner will do anything about that. in my case i didnt have that problem and i wasnt paying attention to how it shifted before and after so i cant say. id try emailing superchips and asking them if it can do anything to help your problem. ive never emailed superchips but the companies ive emailed have gotten back to me in a couple of days (i think thats fast considering the number of emails they probly get a day)
