EBPV Solenoid
so I'm wanting to fix my EBP system and was wondering how do i pull the solenoid off and test it, and also I've done some reading and seen people talk about cleaning out a line?? is this accurate for my truck, if so wheres the line at and how do I pull it out?

The EBP sensor is mounted to a SS line that runs from the front of the passanger exhaust manifold to the front of the motor, if you look down by the fan you will see it there...

5/8 and 9/16 wrenches for the line and 1 inch for the sensor i cleaned mine out with brake cleaner and compressed air found it easier to take the manifold side off by reaching over passenger wheel its a very simple job

Order yourself Auto Enginuity. Best tool you can have for your PSD. Then you can test the EBP system. |
okay, i didnt know if it could test the EBP with one, i will be able to test it with it hooked to a toggle switch right?
|
Sure, as far as function goes.
|
okay so it will test the solenoid and sensor and thats about it right?
|
well i put the comp on my truck and it said my sensor is good, but that it couldnt control the valve, so does this mean that the actuator or soleniod is bad?
|
That or its unplugged.
