guys, alittle background, bought truck 15 months ago, it had 60000 miles on it and had sit for about 6 months, at the begining the truck had a surge whenever you used the cruise, ran smooth when using the throttle, have taken truck to 3 dealers with no sucess in fixing problem. tranny and engine has been eliminated as problem and have reprogrammed the pcm still no help. now since the weather has turned cold it surges alittle when using the throttle. any help would be great.

My truck had a similar symtom 2000 7.3 f-250 manual 6 speed when accelerating didn't notice anything but when cruising at 35 mph in 4th gear I could feel it jump a slight bit. I was baffled and mentaly wondering if it was road conditions making me slightly depress the pedal and cause this reaction. (not the case ) took it to multiple shops got a clean bill of health from all (buzz tests, volt tests you name it 3 hours plus at a shop trying to find something wrong) . End result # 2 injector went out and truck stop running about 6-8 months after I noticed the first signs. This is my story if its similar to yours. This is somewhere to start.:hellox:

Sounds alot like the way some people describe the "compressor surge" problem, but with an E-99 you shouldn't be having that. I only had the bone stock turbo on my truck for a few weeks before I put on a D66, and drove my '96 most of that time frame so I have no idea if mine did that either.
