2001 DRL's help

My 2001 Ford Powerstroke, 3/4 ton, ex cab short bed, has daytime running lights, like most models that can be turned off by a switch, mine cannot, i dont know if this was a canada truck or what. i have looked around everywhere and cannot seem to find a solution. if anyone knows the way please let me know, thanks

There is a relay right behind the Drivers headlight, wrapped in a small cage. the wire runs up from the bottom. Disconnect the wire, no more DRLs. the relay should be attached to the crossmember between the back of the headlight and the battery

Un-plug if you want... It is safer to drive with your lights on however...

you could have just read your owners manual ta find the trick ta shut em off, (the ol ladys blazer you have ta shut it off and depress the ebreak a little,) its a lot safer ta keep em plugged in

WTF, is that english???

By the way, im sure the OP knows that it is safer to keep them working. Until the govt makes it mandatory, he can do as he wishes
