Hello, Just joined the forum but I've gotten a lot of useful information from here in the past.
I am having the same problem. The truck was running perfect and just stopped one day while it was idling, blowing the #30 fuse. I replaced it and as soon as I turn the key it pops. After reading this thread I disconnected the fuel-heater, replaced the fuse and it started. I thought that was it but as soon as I put it in gear the fuse popped again. I replaced the fuse and now as soon as I turn the key, it blows!
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are you sure you unplugged the fuel bowl heater? Bottom of the fuel bowl, back of the fuel bowl...

I wasn't sure after the fuse blew again so I unplugged the only other connector in the immediate area, it was down lower with a metal clip. Then I tried it again but the fuse blew right away.

Should be a two wire connector, but its been a while since I have looked at a fuel bowl.

You need to inspect the wiring from the fuel bowl heater carefully as well... Somebody on here just had the same problem and it was from the fuel bowl heater wiring being too close to the turbo and burning it causing a short...

Thanks for the info. I checked the wiring and can't see any problems. Any other suggestions?
