See the orange/red plug coming out just above the oil filter... That is your block heater element...
Remove, and replace. http://inlinethumb40.webshots.com/40...600x600Q85.jpg |

I installed a KATS circulation heater in both my 00 and 01 and loved em cause you would hear them kick in after you plugged in and stood there a few seconds plus they worked super. :tu:

my block heater finally took a dump on me to. so my question is do u have to drain any fluids to get this done
|
The coolant will drain out of the hole. If your quick you might only loose a gallon. Are you sure its the element? they very rarely go out.

not 100% yet. i did a visual check and didnt see any marks on the wire. tomorrow im gunna double check it. other than visual checks what do u recommend. i know ive got power to through the extension cord (its the fancy one with the light up end).
