4" exhaust????

i have a 2000 7.3L. im looking to gte a 4" turbo back any suggestions on which kind?? also i was wondering if there is any other mods i have to do so i dont ruin my truck...

just take it to a exhaust shop and have them do it all straight. you dont have any filters or anything so you dont have to wory about anything, all you need is pipe.

we have flo pro brand with or without muffler.:tu:

i have 4" turbo back and it does just fine, if your truck is stock it will spool a little slower because of the bigger downpipe but don't worry we can fix that too :tu: you could get ya a set of gauges EGT, boost, and trans, then get a cold air and a custom 6 pos. chip from someone of you desire, KT performance did a great job for me

i was also wondering if its better to use a 3.5 down pipe or a 4" down pipe or does it even matter???

Diesel Dawgs Performance 10-12-2010 12:01 PM

Our kits use a true 4" down pipe. Just lets it breath a bit better than the 3.5" dp.

Lange503 10-12-2010 12:39 PM

if you plan on keeping your truck stock just use the 3.5, if you plan on puttin a chip on it then go 4" cause if you keep it stock its going to take forever to get up and go

You really should not be able to tell the differance between a 3"-3.5 or 4" down pipe. If your having issues spooling I would suspect a up pipe or turbo issue...

4" turbo back, what ever system you want. They all flow the same, only real differance is cost and fitment.

I highly reccomend the 4in MBRP with the 4 in down pipe, i got it from KT performance in the armory section of this sight, he was great to deal with and the price was unbeatable, came with everything you need for an easy install an it sounds awsome, but it all depends what your looking for. i personally dont like straight pipe it has a weird tone to it in my opion. if your truck is stock it will spool a little slower but your EGTs will drop, so thats a plus,

KT Performance 10-18-2010 01:49 PM

We have MBRP (and other brands) 4" turbo back kits at a great price with or without the muffler. As far as your question, you wont have to do any other modifications to safely add exhaust. Let me know if you have any other questions that we can help with.

Thanks,
Kenny
