2000 superduty hazing/smoking at idle
I have a 2000 F350 7.3L with the mods in my sig. I noticed about 1500 miles ago the truck hazing/smoking (whitish color)at idle cold or warm. All my gauges are reading properly. No fuel leaks. Truck runs properly and sounds good. Truck looks like a hoopty at stop signs and signals when it is smoking/hazing.

What the hell is a hoopty?Sorry dont get out much.

Check the exhaust side of the turbo for oil. Sounds like your turbo has blown a oil seal...
Your the second person that said it could be the turbo, so it looks like I will be checking the down pipe for oil.
A hoopty is a POS. |
My truck does the same thing but only after you run it hard and I might lose 1/2a quart of oil every 6000 or 7000 miles but loses about a gallon on antifreeze in those ssame miles. DO you lose any antifreeze?
antifreeze level doesnt move at all
does the smoke/haze smell like oil or fuel? Injector o ring or turbo seal is where my money is
smells like fuel
If it smells like fuel it could be an injector O ring, or low compression...
