need help

I have a 2002 f 350 and have done some work to it to make it run better. Before I started this project the truck ran real ruff. I had it scanned and the codes where 1209,1247,1211,and 0541. I ordered a new icp and ipr valve. I took the fuel bowl off, turbo and turbo pedistal. I also took the wiring harness off because there where several bare wires and it was covered in oil. i removed the ipc and did not get back to the truck for a few days. i noticed oil under the truck and realized the HPOP was draining thru the ipc opening. Made a mess in driveway but the hpop was drained so I put in the ipr and ipc. gutted turbo pedistal and replaced o-rings. Put everything back together and now The truck will not start. I have no idea what to do.I need some help.

Does it try to start, or nothing at all. Just make sure to check connections on batts, I know when I have to lay all over the motor to work on my truck sometimes things can get loose.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

also, how long did you try and start it and is the hpop full of oil.

The hpop is full of oil, batterys are good, the motor rolls over fine, it just will not start. I have a new cps but did not put it in since the truck was running before repairs. I tried starting several times and let the motor roll over for 15 to 20 seconds.

Check the harness going to the valve covers they can become loose or unhooked witch wont fire the injectors. When i did all my work on my truck ( injectors, turbo, ped., meth, afe intake manifold) it would crank crank but not kick so my buddy sprayed some starter fluid in the intake and i kno thats a bad thing but we did it and it fired right up!

check the harness and then re-check the HPOP resevoir to make sure it's nearly full (about 1 inch from the top). crank and few times, check the reservoir for full again and crank a few more times...could take several cycle to get the air purged out of the oil system.

You prolly are just getting air in the lines going to the injectors. So like Bama said it might take a few cycles to get it going. I know when we did an adrenaline hpop on my buddies 01 it was a pita to start. Same with injectors

I will check oil in hpop again, I was told to hold a rag dipped in gas in front of the intake instaed of starter fluid. Need to be careful so rag does not get sucked into turbo. I am at firehall tonight so will have to wait till Weds. Hope this works.

NO NO NO... Dont do that!

I would bet money on one thing...

With everything you changed including the wire harness...

You have the IPR and the EBPV plugs reversed...:tu:

Swap them out, bet ya it fires right off...

tkeller6 08-25-2010 11:08 AM

I assume the two plugs are the same which would make them interchangeable? Also if I have eliminated the butterfly valve in the exhaust do I need the EBPV plugged in?
