my 01 7.3 with just a bigger muffler, and 35" tires and nothing else gets about 14-15 on the freeway and 12-13 around town... this last weekend I pulled a 25' trailer weighing in at 5900 lbs and a honda 400 4wheeler in the bed up to 10,000 campground and got a whopping 8.9....

Its time to get some mods done....

Dont mod it to get better MPG... you might get a bit better towing, but its a slippery slope.

Got 18 stockafter I put on a 4 inch straight pipe. After ts chip I usually get 16.Guy At work told me 23 in his and I told him to do it with a calculator and he came back in a couple days with 17. How much does altitude affect these trucks? I live and drive mostly 1200 to 1600 feet. Had a jeep before this and I know that when I went south and got to lower elevations I was getting 18 out of wrangler. Never saw better than 16 at home.

'01 F-250 Superduty, crewcab, alittle larger tires, all stock except a mild chip. 3.73 gears.
I can get 21 on the highway every time.
NO LIE.
I calculate it myself, I do not use the overhead thingie.
