check uvch's maybe time for new fuel filter? just two of the easier things it could be maybe

theSLEEPER 06-29-2010 06:51 PM

When's the last time you changed the oil??

Team01 06-29-2010 07:25 PM

The fuel filter, air filter and oil was changed on June 2,2010 Can you tell me want UVCH means.

theSLEEPER 06-29-2010 07:33 PM

It's the harness under the valve cover. It stands for Under Valve Cover Harness. But I don't think it's your UVCH. Do me a favor. Unplug your injection control pressure sensor.

Let me know how your truck runs. Also, how much oil is on the plug.

Can you tell me were the ICP is located.

Team01 07-05-2010 09:56 AM

On my truck with loss of power. I took the truck on a trip this weekend with the LQ horse trailer. I ran fine on flat road. But going up grades in Neveda the turbo would work only part of the time Can someone PLEASE help me with this problem on the turbo why it would only work sometimes.

im waiting for the outcome

Team01 10-15-2010 11:17 AM

I unplug the icp and it did not make a diffence there is very little oil on it

Congation 10-21-2010 12:28 AM

Again, when was the last time you had a oil change? It could be dirty oil or even be low on oil.

Team01 10-21-2010 11:33 AM

The oil and filter was changed Oct.8,2010 and the oil is full. Any other ideas what might be the problem

Congation 10-21-2010 03:26 PM

Check ALL of your turbo oil lines. If they're so much as partially plugged, you'll feel a loss of power.

Team01 10-21-2010 06:02 PM

Ok,Can you tell me what oil line to look for Please let me know

Congation 10-22-2010 02:08 AM

I'm honestly not sure as I've not had this problem. You could check a maintenance manual and see.

map sensor

you could have a bad map sensor, I experienced loss of power, no boost, and a check engine light from a bad map sensor.

Team01 11-01-2010 09:57 PM

Ok, still have the same problem no power. I have replaced two injectors , replaced map senor, replaced ICP sensor. Changed oil,oil filter replaced fuel fitler and air filter. checked connections on gaskets for injectors. I still have no power. Is there anyone that can tell me what else it might be.

Did you ever find the problem?? Mine is doing the same thing.

Team01 02-17-2011 07:23 PM

Hi I still have not found the problem if you come up with anything let me know.

fordornothing 02-17-2011 08:38 PM

ok. do you know any one with a scanner? or go to a diesel shop or hell. even autozone can do it for you. get it scanned for codes. it could be the map sensor. my 94 did that and it ran terrible.

Team01 02-17-2011 11:39 PM

I have a scanner. The only code that came up was 1391 and I took care of that.

How can I check to see if the map sensor is bad. What type of test can I perform on the sensor ?

theSLEEPER 02-18-2011 08:28 AM

Team01, I don't come here much, but I'd be glad to help any of you who are having this problem. Just email me @ Jeret.Howard @gmail.com and I'll walk you through what all to do.

Unplug the electrical connector. If it runs better, you have found your problem.
