No power?
 

My friend has a 01 f-250, the truck is totally stock nothing has been changed. The truck has got to where it has no power when you tow somethin or without a load. it takes the turbo forever to spool up more than normal turbo lag. idk much about 7.3s so any help would be great.:c:

Has he had it scanned for codes?

Im not sure he took it to a mechanic and he was suppose to have fixed the problem but he didnt. i no all the fluids and filters have been changed. ill find out about the codes and post somethin back up here.

does it have a boost leak?

Few questions...

Does he have any gauges?

Any smoke when trying to accelerate?

Any idle issues?

You say no mods... intake mods? Maybe a drop in K and N filter?

i know mine lost power and toke a while to spool when my turbo melted down and the shaft had about a half inch of play in it so i would check out the turbo

No there is no mods on the truck at all. i guess the first place to start is the turbo and go from there?

idk much bout the 7.3s i mainly stick with the 6.0s.
