Default Looking for Intake Hose for 99-03 Powerstroke...any suggestions?

Hello,

Hoping that someone can point me to a replacement air intake hose that is smooth inside.....as opposed the the factory hose on the 99-03 Powerstrokes. Been looking and just can't seem to find one yet.

Anybody know of any or suggestions on where to look?

Thanks much!

Charlie

go to a big truck shop or somewhere that sells 4inch piping and weld up your own tube.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I am contacting Tymar to see what they might have.

Tinman875...thanks I have our intake for the Ford and it's awesome but on my early 12/98 Powerstroke 99 model the hose is just a few inches too short. This was before a change in the airbox sometime early in 99. I want to see if I can find a smooth replacement rubber intake hose that can be adapted to our intakes that will replace the ribbed factory hoses...thinking that the smoother the air path the less turbulence generated....

Got to be something already out there.....at least hoping.

Not going to make much of a differance, boundry air will be stangnet no matter what.

Very little out there to adapt to the 3" factory turbo inlet. Lots once you step up to a ATS housing or a 38r... I have two or three in the shop.

When I did my 6637 mod, I used an exhaust pipe that I got from a local big rig shop. It worked fine, I just had to cut down the length a bit.

Here's the link to the pics I took of the mod and if I can help further, let me know.

@CSIPSD thanks...sure you are right about this. I just am going to need a longer intake hose.

@ PeterAL Hey you are a pretty handy guy. Good Job. Thanks for sharing.

I think I am barking up the wrong tree....and making a bigger issue out of this than I need to be. I am thinking that there are only a few of the early 1999 7.3L Powerstroke models from 12/98 to sometime early in 1999 that had the original style airbox that looks like mine here

as opposed to the other later model factory air boxes like this with the battery enclosed within the factory air box.

I can modify our 1999-2003 Powerstroke Icebox cold air intake to work with my current hose but was trying to see if I could just find a different replacement hose for these few applications.

But I guess the thing to do would be to just go to Ford and get the hose that fits the later 1999 factory air box because it fits just fine.

Thanks for all your help...certainly if you have any other suggestions please let me know. I do appreciate it!!

Charlie
