sponge

my 7.3 is like driving a sponge I push the peddle and the rpms do not change only when i push it past 3/4 and then it will drop a gear and the turbo will spool up and it will go like there is no tomm. it is also not tripping any codes. i have no idea what to do i dont know if i should take it to a diesle mech or a trani tech

400k... WOW...

Well... your not going to like this...

You need to take it somewhere with the tools to test some stuff...

I would start with

1. Cylinder contrubution test
2. Test drive and check boost levels and exhaust back pressure
3. Compression test
4. Fuel pressure test

With 400k it could be many differant things, my bet is a very worn out turbo, bad fuel pump or... A just wore out motor...

the funny thing about it is it does not burn oil or smoke and like i said the really funny thing is it does not shutter or miss it is more like if you had a standard trani and you went from first to fourth and it just wont pick up fast like it would from first to second when you get the turbo spooling up the truck will run well over 100 the engine sounds fine thats what makes this such a screwed up problem
