Could an air leak be causing my white smoke?
 

:argh:A friend of mine came by the other day. He said my truck could be sucking air? But where from ? he didn't know. Would anyone know where to start looking? Or should i use ether to locate the leak? Thankyou for Ya'lls help:argh:

Does it take a while to start first thing in the morning. Seem to be using coolant??

Mine had blown head gaskets and it was indeed burning water

What are your symptoms? When does it happen? You have to give a bit more info before anyone will know what to tell you.

White smoke? Does it smell of fuel? Is it on cold start up? Is it after extended idle times?

Yes it takes a little while at times. No I don't lose coolant. Yes it smells of raw fuel.It had off road fuel sitting in it for about 4 years.Instead of being red. It's almost black.I drain'd over 20 gals. out of it. Tasted nasty.I'm going to put some fresh fuel in. And see if it'll clear up??:humm:

Get some powerservice and dump in the tank, the red bottle kind. Drain as much out as you can and fill with fresh fuel before you drive at all. There is all kinds of water and algie in that fuel. Cant leave fuel like that for that amount of time. Change the fuel filter now, and again in a few miles and again once the fuel is all gone.

You can and will destroy the injectors with that crap and PSD injectors are about $150-$200 a piece...

Actually, don't run the Power Service 911, run some biocide instead. Change the filter, and dump some in the filter bowl, run it a few miles or until you get down to an 1/8 tank. Change out the filter again, add more biocide to the tank, then fill with fresh fuel. Get a few more miles on it again and change out the filter one more time.

Good idea, we dont have that stuff around here, so I get the 911 stuff...:tu:
