Oil Pressure Gauge!

I have an "02" 7.3 that I want to install A oil pressure gauge. Dose anyone know where I can tap into an oil galley? My oil filter houseing dosen't have A plug where there is sapposed to be one and the Stock gauge location is not pipe thread. Neather is the plug next to the stock gauge. I've been to A couple of parts supplyers but, no one has A clue on what type of treads are in those locations. This is the last gauge to install and I would like to get it going. It came with 1/8" pipe thread fittings! Sam :argh::argh::argh:

You talking low pressure oil or high pressure oil?

Low pressure has only about 1 place, which is where the sensor is on top the resivour.

If you want a High pressure oil guage, this is what I have and it works great.

So Then if I can only use the top of the resivare, What kind of thread is that plug there? I know it's not pipe thread witch is what they use for oil pressure gauges. I'm useing Auto Meter Sport Comp Ultra Light Gauges.

The plug on the top of the HPO res is a O ring boss AN-4 IIRC, it could be a -6 but I am 90% sure its a -4. Any hose shop worth the name will have those parts.

Also there is a plug down by the oil filter, every truck has it, both on the block and on the filter/cooler ass...

I'll see if I can dig up a pic or two.

Yes thanks for the information. My oil filter wasen't drilled and taped. I looked there right after I found your pics on Another post. LOL I went to A industrial warhouse. Monday and found some fittings that worked. Not quite the same has your pic but close. If I have time I'll take A pic and post it this weekend. :U::U::U:
