Tw or Dp

This subject has been beat to death way too many times. It really boils down to your personal preference. TW, Dp- tuner and PHP are probably the most popular. Diablo, Superchips and Banks are shelf tunes and not nearly as good, I'd stay away from them. You can get one of the others for close to the same price. The F6 from DP you can get tunes emailed to you and load them yourself. I run the F6 and I'm not saying its any better than TW or PHP but I'm very satisfied with it.

go with Swamps, PHP, or TW.... you will be happy with either of those

We have had great success with the TS Chip :c:

DP tuner is the best for the 7.3 be sure to get the tunes that overide the service engine soon lights and code trippers. the 100 hp tune is almost the same as the 85 econo so dont waste your money on it get the 120 instead. f5 is set up by them, f6 you can add tunes yourself when they e-mail thenm to you. DP tuner is KING for the 7.3

CoalTrain99 09-20-2009 04:24 PM

Screw those get you a diesel innovations. You will be extremely satisfied with the power

I would beg to differ... There are more High HP 7.3's coming out of Swamps then DP, DI then DP... There are alot of DP happy people, I used to be one of them... :argh:

I have not tried the one that you mentioned, but I more than likely would if I was not happy with the DPtuner. I tried hypermax (they are right down the street from me) and it was just ok, tried 2 other tuners. DP , for me is the best one that I have tried and I like it the best. Plus it does not change the tunes until you let off. You can scroll through all 16 tunes without changing them until you see the one you want. The other tuners I had changed tunes as you scrolled through them which I did not like at all. The drive through tune is great, no more shutting off the truck to order, and with 4" downpipe and 5" turbo back hypermax, it is LOUD normally. I have the 60 tow, 80 tow, drive thru, lope/smoke, 65 SES override, 85 SES override, 120 raceSES overide, 140 extreme, stock, no start, 65 econo, 85 econo, 65 high boost SES overide, 85 high boost SES override (custom tune), 120 high boost SES override (custom tune), 140 extreme high boost (custom tune). Nobody asked as many questions when ordering the tuner as DP did, I have friends that have other tuners but buy the actual tunes from DP, because the tunes on their tuner are not as good. Hypermax did not change the trans programming or the EBP settings either, but DP Tuner did. Dont get me wrong, I like Hypermax for everything else, and they make good shit, I just would not buy a tuner from them.

Incorrect, the minute the little dot is gone, your in that tune. Has nothing to do with throttle pos.

Of course a single bank hypermax chip did not change the tranny programing, thats like apples to oranges.

I wont go into the DP think any deeper, but there is a reason I all but gave away my DP chip after the last motor blew.:argh:

So your saying dp is bad Joe?

Deputydog 09-29-2009 04:44 PM

Another happy DP Tuner customer here. And don't let CSIPSD try to fool you, they have plenty of high HP trucks around (high HP being 500+).

That said, all the above mentioned tuners are also great choices.

CoalTrain99 09-30-2009 12:16 PM

Kyle_KleinSS 09-30-2009 12:44 PM

riddle me this Coal.... can you get you truck live tuned? ??????? ?????????:pca1:

Diezel Dawg 10-09-2009 05:49 AM

DP, DI, Swamps, PHP, etc. all good tuners. Dont let one person sway your decision. Call the tuners up and talk to them and go with your gut. Pick your poison and run with it.
