catylic converter removal?
 
Does anyone know if you can remove it without getting any idiot lights?Or any other potential problems?(2000 7.3 l superduty)

Don't believe the 2000 models have any sensors to trip you up, so you should be good to go.

Thanks wildbill,i didnt think there would be any probs but i just wanted to check to see if anyone else had any thoughts on the removal.

Just take it off. A guy a know has one with a 3.5'' strait pipe on it and it has throwed no codes.

Remove it if it even has one. They are not required for emisions, I dont even know why some come with and some dont.

mine didnt. dose the turbo create some backpressure?

$ inch turbo back straight pipe and no problems at all sounds great

I removed mine and still have yet to throw a code for the cats being removed

I removed mine with no issues, until I went down and had to get a smog check and the guy failed me on the visual inspection because there was no Cat, had to put one back on to get registered... now I have a 5" inlet/outlet hollowed out piece of pipe that says Catalytic Converter on it :moon:
