just messing around with the truck. when i turn the key on then off like 5 or 6 times, after a few times the door locks make a noise. also what can i do about my power locks, its like they are sticky, i push the lock and unlock inside the cab, the pins just jitter, dont go up or down, i have to manualy lock them. thanks in advance:c:

It could be a switch or actuator, You could try spraying all of the door lock linkage with W-D40 to blow all the old dried grease and dust out of the entire mechanism and the electric solenoid linkage that locked the doors. Then wipe everything down, so it is somewhat dried, and spray Lithium foaming light grease on everything. Worked when I had 1998 Ford Explorer, If that doesn't work, then I would think about replacing the actuator. Hope this helps :c:

That is how you program the key fobs to the truck. There is nothing wrong with the system.

My 1999 F-250 did the same thing, and I had to lock it manualy, it was my actuator that messed up:ok1:

as jason stated, when you cycle the key 8 times they lock and unlock, then you push the lock button on your fobs that you want to program, they will cycle again to let you know they took. also the actuatorsare the problem and are easy to replace. door cards are a piece of cake to remove.
