How long have you cranked on it after putting it back together? Is it just cranking and not starting or what is doing?

Feels like I have been cranking it forever. It will turn over but will not start. Trying to stay away from starting fluid as much as possible.

It can take alot of cranking to get it to start, more than you think it should. Do not use starting fluid ever unless you want to lift a head
