fuel filter housing question
doing some work on my early 99 psd and i have the filter housing out. now i have read somewhere but cannot find it that some or few? take the spring loaded core out of the fuel tower in the filter housing...the one that feeds up into the filter. just wondering if this is actually a restriction it looks to have plenty of room for flow? i am installing riff raff high flow banjo bolts and there cvds to. the whole reason i am at this is because i had to tear it down to replace inj o rings again because i installed digrapios last time and didn't know they were junk. the shop that sold them to me said they used them and never had any issues well there out after 14k miles! the center pink o ring is degraded enough i had oil in my filter housing. so since i have had the parts sitting around for a while i am installing the thermal coated manifolds and thermal coated bellow up pipes and i had the y collector and turbine housing thermal coated as well, all done inside and out. i am adding the high flow banjo's and cvd's at this time as well and i bougth one of hornets ccv tanks so i am installing that too. i have the late 99 intake tins and a new non ebpv pedestal so that is going on along with the late 99 turbo with the ww2 wheel. i also bought all new vitron sleeves for the fuel lines since i'll have them off. i have had a dp tuner and afe stage 3 and 4" dp straight back and rx fuel crossover and ww2 for some time now and all has worked great for pulling my toyhauler. i just turned 108k miles on my f350 dually 6 speed.
