2000 7.3 started leaking fuel under motor...please help
Hello all
Woke up this morning, started my 2000 powerstroke 7.3 Fuel was dripping under motor in several spots including the tc cover drip hole....I looked on top of the motor near the fuel filter canister, it was dry, didn't see any flowing fuel on the intake manifold either...has anyone any ideas of the direction I need to turn to solve this issue |
its more then likely coming from the valley and draining to the back of the engine. start in the valley around the fuel bowl

I was up on the motor looking down and couldn't see any fuel flowing, I will have to check again.
Thankyou |
There is a fuel bowl drain on the back side of the fuel bowl it's plastic and has a rubber tube on the bottom of it stops just below the passenger side exhaust. This drain has a yellow lever if it's not too dirty to see the color the rubber seals inside it go bad and start leaking fuel. I bought mine at oreilly auto parts about 20 bucks if I remember correctly it's torx screws on the back side you'll see when you get the new one and what size do you use but its use is for draining the water from your fuel bowl. Hope that helps

Fuel Bowl Drain may be leaking they drain out under engine other than that search valley for leaks
