Default 2002 f250 7.3l reman injectors installed 240k.

Hello all i would like to say thanks for all the advice shared on this site it has helped me save thousands so far.
I am in need of some further advice. i Just replaced all my injectors, glow plugs, vc's, icp, glow plug relay a few days ago. Previously replaced the starter, fuel pump, power steering pump, alternator, new ford transmission and a few other items the past year. Needless to say i am being forced to become a diesel mechanic do to the lack of funds to hire a professional.. But thus far with your help and you tube i have learned so much and have become one with my truck.

So here is my latest concern. After all injectors were installed and purged / hand cranked with glow plugs out, i placed gps back in turned the engine over for 30 seconds 2 times with valve cover harnesses un plugged. connected the harnesses , re charged the batteries and it fired right up, idled rough and smoked a bunch which i read it was to be expected. so i am pretty confident i didn't hydrolock the truck. white smoke cleared up for the most part while in idle but i notice a bit of smoke by the injectors. Is this normal?
i closed it all and drove it for about 2 miles more smoke when i accelerate only and when i really lay into it around 2500rpm a knocking sound and black smoke happens until it shifts into 5th then it smooths out and no more black smoke.
so i figure it will be rough and smoke for up to 50 mi as told, so i head out for a 45 mile trip and when i reach my first incline truck looses power and the coolant reservoir over flows like it is overheating. I also did an oil/filter change, along with fuel filter at the end of the injector install. i notice oil was a few courts low, so i refilled it. i let it cool down for an hour and started it up no problems, some white smoke and rough idle for a minute then i let it run for 20min in idle. no problems, no over heat, no smoke. i went for a test drive again and the same exact thing happened again. after i let it cool , i limped back home after only a couple miles again. i looked at the thermostat and i am pretty sure it is shot . original with 240k on it so i am going to replace that along with the sensor and with crossed fingers hope this is the issue. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
so to sum up. i still have a good amount of white smoke mostly when i accelerate?
Black smoke and a knock when i get around 2.5k rpm?
loss of power on any incline which results in stall and coolant overflow?
Possible problems?
bad sensor and thermostat (I hope)
Possible injector not seated correctly or pinched seal when installed? If so how can i diagnose without removing every injector?
cracked injector sleeve ? I hope not how do i test for this?
timing needs to be adjusted do to the new injectors? Don't know how to do this.
Cracked or blown head gasket? I don't think so no sign of mixing fluids and smoke seems more like fuel or oil in the exhaust. how can i rule this out?
Possible turbo going bad? Not sure but i read that when the turn starts to go smoke starts.

sorry for being so wordy but i know the more info i give the better i can be helped to get back on the road again.
