Injector & Turbo Question

I have a 1999 Ford F350 7.3 Super Duty 4x4 . Here is my first question. I replaced the injector rings 7 months ago . I had to replace the injector rings just this week. What would cause the rings to go out in just 7 months. The center ring looks like something just ate it up as there was not much left of the ring. Also what would cause the alt. and starter to go out the same time. I noticed when I changed the injector rings the first time the center ring was flat surface the new ones that I have been putting on they are round surface. Does this make a difference on why they are going out This makes the second time in 7 months.

Question 2: How can you check to see if the turbo has gone out. When driving pulling a horse trailer and when you go up hills the turbo does not kick in. I looked at the fins on the propeller and they look good and there is no play in the shaft

Can someone please help me with this .

also what would cause the AC to stop working after replacing the injector rings, alt. and starter the AC was working before and know it just blows out hot air. The clutch does not kick on. Is there a fuse that controls the complete AC system

Thank you
KT

What brand on Orings did you use? If the turbo is not leaking oil and has no shaft play it should be fine. You could have a small boost leak? As for the AC, you might have knocked the connector off

The brand of o rings is Victor I bought them from AutoZone. I checked the connection on the AC it is plugged in but still does not work. On the turbo what else can cause the turbo not to work.

only use motorcraft or allient O rings. the compressor could be dusted in the turbo. other then that im not sure.

What do you mean by dusted in the turbo

if the air filter has not been filtering well and the dirt it has let in has worn down the fins

The fins on the outside wheel look like new. On the turbo I have a question I know there is fins on the outside wheel and fins on the wheel on the exhaust side were the pipe connects to the turbo. I would like to know if there is a set of fins on the inside of the exhaust side. I was told there were three sets of fins.

There are 2 wheels. The one on the intake side is the compressor wheel. The one on the exhaust side is the turbine wheel

So if the fins on both wheels look good and there is no play on the shaft what else can cause the turbo notto kick in when you are going up hills
