2000 7.3 Fuel Leak when Plugged In

So, it has gotten cooler here in Idaho so I am now plugging my diesel in at night, I noticed some fluid under the truck and I thought I had an oil leak, it turns out to be fuel with old dirty oil mixed in from running down the motor. It turns out that it only leaks fuel when its plugged in, cuz when it was really nice last week I didn't plug it in and no fluid under truck, it got down into the 30's last night, I plugged it in and this morning there was about 10" circle of diesel on the ground…Any thoughts, if I missed a post on this matter earlier please direct there.

Thanks

Doesn't mean plugging in caused leak. Have you drained your water on fuel bowl recently?

Yeah, I did that and as I got a closer look at the fuel bowl it appears the leak is from the o ring on the water release valve…I had replaced this twice before and both times fuel was pouring out like a hose so I suspected it to be something else…sorry for taking up time and space on here...

Not a problem that's what were here for. I was going to suggest looking at your fuel bowl. Their known to have leaky o rings.
