7.3 white smoke and coolant smell
 

Okay so this all started after i changed my oil the other day, about a day after i changed the oil i ran it wide open for about 2 miles, when i got done it stunk like anti freeze, but the level didnt seem to have diffierentatied. For a couple days since then its been fine only smelling anti freeze once when i stepped on it. Today i went to start it up and it blew a tiny puff of white smoke at start up(it was a little colder then normal at 40 degrees last night). I checked the oil and it looks good, coolant is still bright green, coolant level dosent seem to have gone down noticably and i couldnt find any visible leaks. Im kinda lost now as of what to do, also never had any overheating problems. By the way its an early 99

Its hard to tell, if your coolant goes low, or your get coolant in your oil the we know you have an issues. But when its cool outside your truck may blow a puff of white smoke, or haze untill it warms up a bit? Its hard to tell you may have a antifrezze leak that you do not know about. are you smelling it out of you A/C or your exhaust.?

When i smelled it the first time it was in the engine bay. I smelled the exhaust and it smelled normal.

So you proably have a coolant leak somewhere on the engine that you have not noticed. Its hard to help you find it other than run it for 10 mins and shut it off and looks for something wet, if its dirty steam it and let it dry and run it so you can find a leak.
Maybe the water pump?
